In the Land of the Midnight Sun

It's been snowing non-stop all weekend! We've definitely had more snow this year than the years we've been here combined. It's absolutely beautiful, and we got to take Frank out in it to enjoy some winter activities. We took walks in the snow, went sledding, and went to the Anchorage Zoo for Zoo Lights. All the animals were out, and Frank took it all in. :)

Good morning, little man. How low does this crib go again? 

After a busy week (and no family time with Sean's evening schedule) we decided to make today a family day. We took Frank to the museum for the first time since he was 2 months old and had a blast! The Anchorage Museum is open year round, and has pretty fantastic rotating exhibits. Our favorite from even before we had Frank is the Discovery Center. There's a hoist chair, air cannon, a hands on lab and more. The best part is the bubble space, and Frank enjoyed it just as much as we did! We checked out some of the other exhibits including one called 'Cabin Fever' which featured an interesting array of short films, and the other one ''Without Boundaries' which focused on environmental issues. The museum is currently undergoing expansion and construction with completion set for Fall - needless to say, we can't wait for it. :) After the museum, we went to the Koren market to get the fixings for Sean to make bulgogi and rice for dinner. Hello all! I have to begin by admitting that I'm actually really excited to get back to blogging. This year has gotten off to a crazy, but fun start. It's snowed more this month than it has since we arrived in Alaska! We dealt with some not so friendly temps of -22 a few weeks back, but it's warmed up now and more snow is supposedly on the way tonight. :)  We took Frank to his first hockey game 2 weeks ago and he loved it! He's been exploring new foods and loving all he tries. We're really looking forward to taking him to all the Fur Rondy events in town next month! I will have a longer update later, but wanted to get a little something going now! Much love to you all!

Sean and I are now residents of Northern California. It's been a whirlwind adventure getting here, and it's nice to finally be settled in. I miss Hawaii so much, but when you're only an hour and forty minutes from the beauty of Lake Tahoe, it kind of makes up for it.
